We Want to be Heard!
The 2011 Superintendent's Academy (Birmingham City Schools) collaborated on a collective spoken word piece entitled "We Want to be Heard!" as part of one of the Real Life spoken word workshops. Students received a special invitation to attend the class as a result of testing in the top 10% of middle schools in the city. Real Life's spoken word workshop was designed to instill confidence in studenst while encouraging good oratorical skills and expression.
Real Life Poets Mission
Real Life aims to mentor young adults, encouraging good communication, and oratorical skills using spoken word poetry and the arts.
